Introduction

My name is Bill Leimkuehler and as of August 2004 I am a senior at the University of Notre Dame working towards my bachelors in Computer Science.  During the fall 2004 semester I had the privilege of beginning undergraduate research with Dr. Aaron Striegel, an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science & Engineering Department.

Dr. Striegel’s research focuses mainly on network-oriented development such as his Stealth Multicast Project that utilization transparent bandwidth conservation techniques.  Dr. Striegel was recently awarded the National Science Foundation’s Career Award for his work on Stealth Multicast.  During the fall of 2004, I had the opportunity to work with Dr. Striegel to research potential candidate applications for use with Stealth Multicast.
