- December 07: Dinesh Rajan successfully defended his Master's Thesis. Congrats Dinesh!
- December 07: Jeff Hemmes successfully completed his oral Ph.D. Proposal Exam. Congrats Jeff!
- November 07: Our lab hosted three visitors from
Motorola Labs: Shivajit Mohapatra, Bodgan Carbunar, and Yang Yu. We hope that
this is the beginning of long-term collaborations between Motorola Labs and
our group.
- August 07: Undergraduates are invited to contact the lab about research projects (for credit, experience, fun). Experience is not required and all levels of undergrads are welcome to apply. Also note the "Real-Time Systems" course our group is offering this Fall (targeted at seniors and grad students), which also includes a project phase.
- August 07: Nadine Shillingford was awarded two scholarships to attend both the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing Conference and the Richard Tapia Celebration of Diversity in Computing Conference, both in Orlando this Fall. Congrats, Nadine!
- August 07: Paper titled "On-Demand Transient Data Storage and Backup in Mobile Systems" accepted into the 2007 Military Communications Conference (MILCOM).
- July 07: Paper titled "JumboGen: Dynamic Jumbo Frame Generation for Network Performance Scalability" (D. Salyers, Y. Jiang, A. Striegel, C. Poellabauer) accepted to ACM Computer Communications Review (CCR).
- July 07: Paper titled "Stability Aware Routing: Exploiting Transient Route Availability in MANETs" (first author Pramita Mitra, in collaboration with Shivajit Mohapatra from Motorola Labs) accepted to the High-Performance Computation Conference (HPCC) 2007.
- June 07: We now have a wiki to provide a forum for collaboration among DARTS lab members and a platform to distribute software and documentation to others.
