Weekly DARTS Lab Meeting
The DARTS Lab members meet in the conference room in 384 Fitzpatrick Hall every Monday from 10-11am. Interested faculty and students are welcome to join any of our
meetings. Below is a tentative schedule of topics and papers discussed in the
DARTS Lab meeting. Summaries of papers discussed by our group can be found on our
wiki.
- November 12: Motorola Lab visit discussion.
- November 5: GCP: Gossip-based Code Propagation for Large-scale Mobile Wireless Sensor Networks presented by Chris Miller.
- October 29: On-Demand Transient Data Storage and Backup in Mobile Systems presented by Jeff Hemmes (practice talk for MILCOM).
- October 22: SENSTRAC: Scalable Querying of SENSor Networks from Mobile Platforms Using TRACking-Style Queries presented by Jun Yi.
- October 8: HPCC Report presented by Pramita.
- September 25: Stability Aware Routing: Exploiting Transient
Route Availability in MANETs (P. Mitra, C. Poellabauer, S. Mohapatra),
presented by Pramita (practice talk for HPCC).
- September 17: Quality of Service-Aware Source-Initiated
Ad-hoc Routing (S. R. Medidi and K.-H. Vik), presented by Nadine.
Events
- Dave Salyers (advised by Dr. Striegel) will present our collaborative work
on wireless multicast on Intel IXP network processors at the Intel Summit in January 2007.
- Chris Poellabauer is co-organizing the Second Intl. Workshop on
Wireless Mesh and Ad Hoc Networks (WiMAN 2008). Submission deadline is December 7, 2007.
- Nadine Shillingford will attend the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in
Computing Conference and the Richard Tapia Celebration of Diversity in Computing
Conference in Orlando, FL in October 2007.
- Pramita Mitra will present her paper on reliable multi-hop routing at HPCC 2008 in Houston, TX, in September 2007.
Other Seminars and Events
The experimental systems researchers in the CSE Department also organize the
Systems Seminar. Details of this seminar for Fall 2008 are TBD. The departmental seminar takes place in 356A Fitzpatrick Hall every Thursday from 3.30-5.00pm.
