Join the CCL team! Work with a small group of talented people working on challenging problems in the realm of parallel and distributed systems. We design new systems, publish open source software, and collaborate with advanced researchers in many fields of science and engineering around the world.
Postdoctoral Scholar (1)We have an opening for one postdoctoral scholar in the CCL.The postdoctoral scholar will help to shape the research direction of the group by guiding graduate students to define research problems, conduct experiments, and write academic publications. The candidate should have recently completed a PhD in computer science or a closely related field and have an initial publication record in large scale distributed computing, cloud computing, data intensive computing, or a closely related field. Excellent oral and written English is essential. It is expected that this appointment will last 2-3 years, as preparation for a faculty position elsewhere. Graduate Students (2-3)We have openings for 2-3 new graduate students in the CCL. Students will be involved in designing, implementing, and evaluating distributed systems that scale to thousands of nodes by harnessing national infrastructure such as clusters, clouds, and grids. Candidates must be proficient in the C programming language and be able to communicate and collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams.
