CSE Researchers Study Mobile Tools for Concussion Detection

Christian Poellabauer and Patrick Flynn are mentioned in a Notre Dame on-line news article about concussion research in connection with the 82nd Bengal Bouts boxing event. In this research, mobile devices (iPads) are used to evaluate the athletes after each bout. In their future research, Drs. Poellabauer and Flynn will extend the iPad-based tests to include evaluations of reflexes, memory, and balance, with the goal to compare the detection accuracy of these different methods.
