I am currently a graduate student at the University of Notre Dame. I am happily married to a wonderful wife (Amber) and have three great cats (Peli, Fitzroy and Violet) and an awesome dog (Xanti). I love climbing (mainly ice climbing and alpinism), cycling and maetial arts.
I study Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) as a member of the Carlson Gracie Team in Mishawaka where I am currently a Blue Belt. I also study Judo where I hold the rank of Gonkyu (Green Belt). I enjoy competing and have won severl tournaments in BJJ. Notably, I won the Blue belt light-heavyweight divisions in both the 2007 Hoosier Open BJJ Tournament and the C3 Patriot Games Submission Grappling Tournament. I will also be competing in Judo tournaments where I hope to continue with my success. I also study Cooper-Ryu Veejitsu as a member of the Notre Dame Martial Arts Institute (NDMAI) and currently hold the rank of Shodan (1st degree Black Belt).
